Unfortunately I was able to miss the entire month of April for a blog post. I was far too busy, and such is life! Fortunately however, the reason for my bloglessishness, was the purchase of my new house! It belongs to me, and my two friends: Paul Charles and Justin Rich. It took some time, but we managed to find a location directly across the Charles river from our old location at 460 Watertown Street, and behold, we now live in Watertown.

As the casual observer will note, the house is not large. It is a standard post-WWII cape construction, that aptly fits 3 men and a small dog. We have a finished basement, that appears to have been finished for the likes of older Italien gents. It is very nice , however we are in the process of unfinishing it, so that we may refinish it. And though our professions are technical, it appears as if we may need to get agricultural on this land, due to the efforts of the previous inhabitants, whom were apparenty fantastic gardeners. The pic below shows some sort of tree that flowered very nicely before the torrential downpour we experienced for 2 weeks.

So who knows what the future may hold for we 3 idiots and our even more idiotic dog. One thing is for sure, it will involve G and T's and plenty of beats for the neighbors. Stop by if you are in the area: 117 Edward Rd Watertown, MA 02472.

I live in Newton, MA. It is a very nice town. It is safe and rather affluent. I live in the corner of it, by the Charles river. It is not a clean river, and last summer I swam in it with my friend Tom and we got a rash. It was still fun though.

In any case, an industrious pigeon has made her way onto my porch. I use my porch as a drinking perch quite often. It is where I get most of my most critical thinking done while looking at the stars, the clouds or the Chevy vans for sale across the street. I was somewhat startled the other day when I opened the door with beer in hand to hear a "flutter", as if some sort of pigeon had been equally startled and flown away. Sure enough I investigated and there was a nest behind the porch lazy-boy. I anticipate that the comfy chair was the only thing that had protected the pigeon from the Winter wind, enough for egg birthing. I did not touch the eggs or the nest, in order to avoid contracting pigeon flu, but was unable to avoid taking some pictures. The first is to set the scene as a view out from the porch.

As you can see, the mother pigeon is not put off by Coors Light long-necks, or Robin's pack of Marlboro Reds. If I was giving birth in March and had to live on this porch, I would probably understand too.

I hope that this mother pigeon has all the success in the world. I promise to do my best not to bother her, or run out of chicken eggs in my refridgerator.

Here's to adding my 2nd blog entry, and birds on my porch.

Welcome to Tim Chadwick's blog. In regards to blogs, they are fun! In my opinion, they are fun because I have found that there is immense value in writing things down for whatever reason, probably associated with mechanical, sensory and cognitive relationships. Writing is a fine way of organizing thought, and sometimes, organizing my thoughts leads me to conclusions and insight I would not have had if I just plowed over the thoughts while driving the proverbial daydream truck. I am very good at writing things in various technical journals that I keep, however I am not very good at updating things of this nature (journals, diaries, be they electronic or of paper materials) that are not right infront of me. Hopefully I will be able to do better with this one!

In regards to Tim Chadwick; anyone that looks (google) will find that there are several of them out there. Unfortunately, a certain mediation lawyer from South Africa as already taken timchadwick.com/net. Fortunately I was right behind and I was able to grab timjchadwick.com and timjchadwick.net. Unfortunately this blog is timchadwick.blogspot.com, and I am sure this will contribute to various amounts of confusion for no one except my immediate family and 3 to 7 friends as soon as I get a website worth a click.

In addition to this representing any thoughts I feel necessary for posting: any reader should be warned that my thoughts are at best - irrelevant to any intelligent human being, and should at most be considered as useful as the wisps of wind produced by small yellow birds that may or may not be eaten by larger brown birds.

I promise to maintain a light tone, peppered with versions of nerd, athlete, musician and skeptic humor. Thanks for reading, and happy blogging to all.
